About The Role
Trattoria Da Luigi, a family-owned Italian restaurant in the heart of Downtown Royal Oak, MI, is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. We're looking for someone who is passionate about crafting cocktails, providing exceptional customer service, and has extensive knowledge of wine and liquor.
The ideal candidate should have:
At least 2 years of experience as a bartender at a casual/fine dining establishment
Familiarity with bar pours and drinks
Knowledge of Italian wines and bottle presentation
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Reliable transportation
Minimum age of 18 years old
ServSafe Alcohol certification

Duties and Responsibilities:
Mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Creating specialty cocktails and recommending wine pairings
Providing excellent customer service and anticipating guests' needs
Maintaining a clean and organized bar area
Collaborating with kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate service
Handling cash and credit card transactions
Restocking the bar with inventory as needed
Training and Support:
New bartenders will receive on-the-job training to learn our menu, service standards, and POS system.
Our management team provides ongoing feedback and support to help you succeed in your role.
Uniform and Appearance:
All bartenders are required to wear a uniform consisting of a dress shirt with tie, black slacks, and apron.
Bartenders are expected to maintain a clean and professional appearance, including good hygiene and grooming habits.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent mixology skills and be able to engage with guests to create a memorable dining experience. Speaking Italian is a plus, but not a requirement.
